 El Rincon's project will furnish
 mosquito-repellent nets to
 prevent malaria.
 
 
 In addition to the
 oral presentations,
 the students showed
 a video made in
 partnership with high
 school students.
 The students realize that
 their project will save
 many lives in Africa
 Serious business as well, but in
 Culver City as past president
 Jim Machado gives Culver City
 Rotary Foundation president
 Art Endo a check for the gift to
 the foundation of funds from
 Jim's year as president.
 
       
 Author, author!  Carmen Portnoy has
 been appearing at various Rotary clubs
 selling her books with investment
 information--aimed at women--and
 presented a check for her profits to
 go to help crippled children.

 

  Bill Cavaness had a
 thing or two to say about
 tent camping with
 Bill Gardner---in the snow!
Proud mama,
Linda Black...her son
dropped out of school
to get married, but he
continued studying
and was accepted to the Los Angeles Fire district
Academy program.
